The below image may be too disturbing for viewers, but that is a true unsparing photograph of a person almost unrecognized as a woman. Her body was wasted by cancer, hair was falling and eyes glazing into empty spaces.
This pitiful woman was Barb Tarbox. She used to be a beautiful model. Six feet tall and willowy, with a head of honey hair and fierce blue eyes, she picked up gigs as a runway model in Ireland and Canada. Unfortunately, she took up smoking at the age of 11 and did not stop when doctors warned her about higher than normal risk of contracting cancer, as her mother too, was died of cancer.
